The Royal Pavilion Ice Rink
The Royal Pavilion ice rink is utterly mesmerising, it is gorgeously lit up at night making it the perfect place to skate! The ice rink is ideal for all ages and it is absolutely romantic with it’s pink glow. You can even enjoy the stunning rinkside Bar & Kitchen, where you can indulge in tasty food and drink! The restaurant offers hot snacks and delicious meals, meaning that you can satisfy your appetite after your skate.
Beach Hut Advent Calendar on Hove Lawns – 1st to 24th December
Every evening during the Christmas Advent so from the 1st – 24th December, the beach huts along Hove Lawns will in turn be opened to reveal a festive installation. A different hut will open its doors on each evening from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, each showcasing an artistic festive surprise. This annual event is not one to miss and really indicates what Christmas is really about!
Christmas Market
This year, Brighton’s Christmas market will take place in the heart of the North Laines! It will be made up of 20 beautifully decorated Christmas chalets selling unique and handcrafted gifts. There will even be a selection of hot and cold food on offer to really get you in the Christmas spirit!
Festive Lights
Brighton’s lights are truly magical and inspiring this year! The whole of Brighton is lit up in wonderful lights, Western Road’s lights feature words and emojis such as Fairy and Ding Dong, whilst the North Laine and The Lanes incorporates more traditional lights.
Burning the Clocks
On Wednesday the 21st December the shortest day of the year, the people of Brighton & Hove will gather together with paper and willow lanterns and burn them on the beach. This spectacular annual event marks a token for the end of the year, as it symbolises the passing of time by ‘burning the clocks’ and welcoming in the new sun.
