Halloween Cocktails
Cocktails are an absolute necessity at a Hen Party! They are a great drink to get everyone in the party mood and the varieties of cocktails are absolutely endless! Therefore, you are always going to find a cocktail to suit you! If you have a hen party that is coming up soon, cocktails are probably going to be on your list of drinks to indulge. However, with the summer months of drinking pina coladas on the beach over, cocktail types are a little more difficult to think of. Although, just because summer has been and gone, doesn’t mean the cocktails have to go either! Autumn is here and therefore the spooky celebration of Halloween is fast approaching! So here at the Hen Fairy we have some suggestions of chilling cocktails that are oh so classy for a spooktacular Hen party!
Vampire Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
- 30ml triple sec
- 15ml white creme de cacao
- Drizzle of grenadine
Method
This spooky cocktail fit for a vampire tastes like an absolute treat and is a great combination between a desert and a cocktail! First blend the vanilla ice cream, triple sec and white creme de cacao until smooth. Then pour into a stemmed cocktail glass. Finally you can drizzle the grenadine over the top to create a blood thirsty vibes!
Zombie Cocktail
Ingredients
- 30ml light rum
- 30ml dark or Jamaican rum
- 30ml apricot brandy
- 30ml lime juice
- 2 dashes grenadine
- Ice
Method
This powerful punch packed with rum tastes so good that it will wake up the living dead! First, mix the light rum, dark rum and brandy in a cocktail shaker, then add the lime juice and grenadine. Next give your zombie cocktail a shake and strain into highball glasses filled with ice.
Blood Sucker Cocktail
Ingredients
- 40ml Bacardi
- 15ml cointreau
- 60ml pineapple juice
- 1 tbsp strawberry puree
Method
Dracula’s favourite cocktail looks spooktacular by the added trickles of ‘blood’ streaming down the sides of the glass. First pour the rum, cointreau and pineapple juice with ice into a shaker. Then, shake well before pouring this delicious drink into a rocks glass. Finally, create the blood effect by dipping the end of the puree into a straw and then squirting the puree around the sides of the glass!
Black Devils Martini
Ingredients
- 60ml dark rum
- 15ml dry vermouth
- Black olive
Method
This sinister Martini summons the devil and looks super sleek with the added black olive. You could even rim the glass with orange sugar to accentuate the Halloween vibes. First stir and strain the dark rum and vermouth into a chilled martini glass. Then finish by garnishing with a black olive.
Eyeball Punch
Ingredients
- 12 to 24 fresh blueberries
- 12 canned lychees in syrup
- 3 cups blackberry blueberry juice
- ⅓ cup freshly squeezed limes (around 4 limes)
- Ice
- 2 cups sparkling water
- ¾ cup of gin
Method
This creepy cocktail has floating eyeballs and looks incredibly eerie! First, make the eyeballs by sticking 1 or 2 blueberry into the lychee, then freeze the eyeballs for about an hour and wait until thawed! Next stir 5 tablespoons of the lychee syrup, blueberry juice and lime juice in a bowl. After that stir in the gin, sparkling water and add the lychee eyeballs. Finally serve in tall glasses over ice, spooning the lychee eyeballs into the glasses as you pour.
